Moderator

Caroline Avgerinou, Syndicate Manager, Thomas Miller (Hellas)
Caroline joined Thomas Miller (Hellas) in 2018 and was recently made Syndicate Manager. She holds a degree in Law and a Masters in Maritime Law and has previously worked for two shipping law firms and in the legal department for a ship owning company based in Greece. Caroline handles all types of P&I and FD&D disputes.

Mark Beare, Thomas Miller (Hellas)
Mark is an English qualified solicitor and ex-mariner who spent six years at sea, sailing up to the rank of 2nd navigational officer. Mark previously worked in the post fixture department of a Malaysian shipowner as well as another International Group P&I Club and is now a Senior Claims Director (P&I) based in the Thomas Miller (Hellas) office.

Ansuman Ghosh, Thomas Miller (Singapore)Ansuman is a Marine Engineer and Risk Assessor with the UK Club’s Loss Prevention department. He has sailed on various vessel types up to the rank of Chief Engineer. In 2006 he came ashore, as a Superintendent and Classification Society Principal Surveyor, Regional Lead Auditor. Prior to joining Thomas Miller, Ansuman was Technical Head at a ship-owning and service company.

Dr. Daria Hinz, Senior Scientist, Brookes Bell
Dr. Daria Hinz is an American-born Scientist with an honours degree in Biology from Harvard University and a doctorate in Ocean and Earth Science from the University of Southampton, and became partner of Brookes Bell in 2016. Daria has specific expertise in biological systems and has carried out investigations into the origins of hold infestations and hull fouling.
