UK Defence Club Restructure

As Members will be aware in May, 2025 EGMs were held by UKFDD and UKDIA to approve a Club restructure. Following the Member approvals that were provided at those meetings, steps have been undertaken to effect the restructure. As a result, UK Defence Insurance Limited (“UKDIL”) has been established in Cyprus and will begin underwriting European risks from 20th August, 2026.

From the same date UKDIL will also become the Club’s quota reinsurer.

The risks underwritten by the Club’s current European subsidiary (UK Defence Club Europe) will be transferred to UKDIL over the coming months.

Members should not see any noticeable change in the operation of the Club, or its cover, as a result of the restructure. EEA risks and certificates of entry will going forward be issued by UKDIL and debit notes will reflect its bank account details.
